Capitol Speakers Announced by Klipsch and Capitol Records

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017, Klipsch® and Capitol Records® announced the availability of three special edition co-branded Wireless Capitol Speakers. Designed with luxury materials including real wood veneer and gunmetal switches and knobs, the speakers are built with the latest in acoustics technology. Additionally, and while supplies last, a free Capitol Records vinyl album will be included with each purchase.

Capitol One Special Edition Speaker

The Capitol One is a semi-portable tabletop wireless speaker. It features Bluetooth® connectivity and an eight-hour rechargeable battery. Mobile devices, computers, and Blu-Ray or CD players can be connected to the Capitol One using its 3.5mm input port. The biamplified Capitol One delivers sound using two 2 ¼” full range drivers and one 4.5” woofer.

Capitol Three Special Edition Speaker

The Bluetooth® connected Capitol Three features all of the input possibilities of the Capitol One while adding a phono pre-amp, a USB Type B audio port and DTS® Play-Fi™ Wi-Fi technology. Additionally, Capitol Three can access internet radio, personal music libraries, and streaming music services such as Pandora, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, Amazon Music, Napster, Tidal, and Spotify. Using its 192kHz / 24-bit digital to analog converter, the speaker outputs sound using two 2 ¼” full range drivers, a 5 ¼” long-throw woofer, and dual opposed 5 ¼” passive radiators.

Capitol Heresy III Special Edition Speakers

Now it is third generation, the Capitol Heresy III was originally designed in 1957 by Paul W. Klipsch. It features a compact three-way design containing a 12” woofer, a mid-range, and a tweeter. The Capitol Heresy is housed in a real wood veneer cabinet with a plaque signed by the craftsman that built the speaker.

All three Capitol speakers are available now at select retailers and at Klipsch.com. The Capitol One has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $299.00. The Capitol Three has a MSRP of $499.00. The Capitol Heresy III is priced at 1,299.00 each.
