Kodi Playlist Download The 60’s and 70’s

Kodi

This week's Kodi Playlist Download is “The 60's and 70's.” I had thought our collection of decades playlists was complete (until 2020 makes an entrance). I was wrong – Our daughter was setting up to play some music to listen to while we cleaned. She asked, “It's nice that we have these playlists, but can we please hear some music from the 80's and 90's?” How could I refuse her? I sat down, created her playlist, put it on and we set about our chores.

That started me out creating dual-decades playlists for each of the pairs from the 1960's to today. These dual-decade playlists have turned out to be very easy to listen to. Memory has a way of blurring the lines between the decades anyway. We're just helping that along.

To refresh your memory, here are the single-decades playlists I was referring to (with the exception of the "Before the 60's" playlist which spans multiple decades):

The first dual-decade playlist I'm adding to our collection of decades playlists is The 60's and 70's. Since I already have one for music released before 1960, we'll start with the 60's and 70's and keep going from there. I'll get to later ones in the weeks ahead. So, put on your granny glasses and light up the disco ball, here we go.

After downloading the .ZIP file, you need to do two things:

  1. Unzip the playlist into your Kodi music playlist folder — You can find specific information on playlist folders in this article: Kodi Playlist Folders
  2. Start Kodi (if it isn't already running) and navigate to the Playlist section of your music library, select this new playlist and enjoy

Today's playlist is 744 bytes in size and contains all of your music from the 1960's and 1970's except for Christmas, Classical and Flamenco in random order.

That's all there is to it. Follow the instructions listed above and quick as you can say, “Monday Monday Fever,” you'll have a new music playlist.

Note: If you just copy the .ZIP file into your playlist folder, Kodi will handle it just fine. It sees the zip file and adds it to your list of playlists. Clicking on the .ZIP file will open it up and present you with the contents. In the case of today's file: “The 60's and 70's.” Click on that and it works like any other playlist.
