Luxul XAP-810 Wireless Access Point Introduced

On Friday, October 27, 2017, Luxul introduced their new Luxul XAP-810 indoor wireless access point. Designed for smaller networks, the XAP-810 is compatible with Luxul’s XWC-1000 wireless controller. To provide a seamless roaming experience, the XAP-810 makes use of the XWC-1000’s Roam Assist™ feature. The indoor wireless access point can deliver data at up to 1200Mbps over dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and offers 5GHz Beamforming technology.

Also introduced was the new Luxul XAP-1440 outdoor wireless access point for smaller networks. The XAP-1440 is also designed to work with Luxul’s XWC-1000 wireless controller and to make use of the controller’s Roam Assist feature. The IP-65 rated XAP-1440 delivers data rates up to 1200 Mbps employing dual-band 802.11ac and 5GHz Beamforming wireless technology.

Installing the Luxul XAP-810 Wireless Access Point

Featuring a sleek design, the XAP-810 can be mounted on a ceiling, wall, or other flat surface. It can also be used unmounted as a desktop device. Power and data are provided to the access point by way of a single Ethernet cable plugged into the integrated PoE+ port. The Luxul XAP-810 and the XAP-1440 can be used a standalone access points or as part of a multiple access point network.
