Sunday – A most perfect day for relaxing. I do my normal yard work on Thursday evenings after work so I don't have to do it on the weekend. I include Friday late afternoon on to be part of the weekend. This gives me just a little under 2 ½ days to do my weekend thing (whatever that turns out to be).
In the S.F. Bay Area we enjoy almost perfect weather and a plethora of places to go and things to do. This weekend we could have gone to the Maker Faire, worn ourselves out running the Bay To Breakers (never gonna happen) or done any number of things this area offers almost every weekend.
On Saturday, we went through the honey-do list and ran around doing errands.
What my wife and I ended up doing on Friday is writing in the afternoon with a visit to some TV shows we recorded on the DVR in the evening. On Saturday, we went through the honey-do list and ran around doing errands. This included buying the Blu-ray of "The Hobbit – The Desolation of Smaug.” We capped it off with a delicious dinner at Melo's.
That left us with Sunday to do one of the things I love doing – Relaxing with a good movie while noshing on something delicious and nutritious. I bought some Ranch dip, carrots, celery and cherry tomatoes; chopped the carrots and celery and laid everything out for snacking. This was lunch and a mighty fine way to spend the afternoon. I don't recommend spending your free time like this as a regular diet, but every once in awhile, it's a nice thing to do for yourself.
