Vizio SmartCast App Is Updated With XUMO
On Tuesday, December 6, 2016, VIZIO, Inc. announced the addition of XUMO, a video-on-demand service, to the VIZIO SmartCast app. XUMO joins the VIZIO SmartCast app’s current content collection of live and Video-On-Demand Over-The-Top channels.
VIZIO SmartCast App
The VIZIO SmartCast App gives users the ability to search a large list of premium and free streaming services. Those services include Crackle, FandangoNOW, Google Play Movies & TV, Hulu, iHeartRadio, Pluto TV, Vudu and others.
After finding a show or movie on one of the services, users can then stream the service from their mobile device to a VIZIO SmartCast display. Once content is streaming to a TV, users can continue to use the mobile device without interrupting the stream to the big screen. The VIZIO SmartCast app also gives users the ability to adjust settings and control the display.
With Chromecast built-in, every VIZIO SmartCast display, sound bar and speaker can stream from mobile apps directly to their VIZIO SmartCast device. Tapping the Cast button from within their favorite apps like Netflix and YouTube, content is then streamed directly from the Internet to any VIZIO SmartCast on the home Wi-Fi network.
XUMO on VIZIO SmartCast App
The VIZIO SmartCast experience is now further enhanced with access to content from XUMO’s broad collection of more than 70 premium Over-The-Top channels such as Time Inc.’s People/Entertainment Weekly Network (PEN) and Sports Illustrated, Field & Stream, Fox Sports, Tastemade, Refinery29, FailArmy, The Pet Collective from Jukin Media, Funny Or Die, Outside TV Shorts and more.
VIZIO SmartCast App Pricing And Availability
