Yamaha R-N402 Hi-Fi Receiver Announced
On Tuesday, August 30, 2016, the Yamaha R-N402 Hi-Fi Receiver was announced. The new network receiver combines wireless connectivity with multiroom high-resolution music streaming from high-resolution audio sources and smart devices through the Yamaha MusicCast system.
The Yamaha R-N402 is a two-channel wireless network Hi-Fi receiver featuring 100 watts per channel. The receiver connects with a range of analog and digital music sources including Bluetooth® and Apple® AirPlay® devices. The network receiver can wirelessly stream music services including Pandora®, Spotify, Rhapsody®, Napster, SiriusXM Internet Radio and vTuner Internet Radio.
Yamaha MusicCast
Yamaha’s MusicCast system gives you the ability to stream music from one MusicCast receiver to other MusicCast AV receivers, Hi-Fi receivers and MusicCast-enabled speakers in other rooms in your home. The R-N402 fully supports the MusicCast system and is controlled by Yamaha’s MusicCast app for iOS or Android™ smartphones and tablets.
The receiver comes with AirPlay compatibility, DLNA® compatibility and a USB port for access to music libraries stored on PCs, network attached storage (NAS) and USB flash drives.
Included With The R-N402 Receiver
The R-N402 network receiver features 40 presets you can set to your favorite FM stations plus an additional 40 presets for network music stations. The receiver will stream audio from Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones and tablets and can send content to Bluetooth-enabled headphones. It supports the playback of MP3 48 kHz/320 kbps, MPEG-AAC 48 kHz/320 kbps, and WMA 48 kHz/320 kbps audio files. Also supported are DSD 5.6 MHz, AIFF 192 kHz/24-bit, FLAC 192 kHz/24-bit, Apple Lossless 96 kHz/24-bit and WAV 192 kHz/24-bit high-resolution audio files.
The receiver comes with AirPlay compatibility, DLNA® compatibility and a USB port for access to music libraries stored on PCs, network attached storage (NAS) and USB flash drives. The R-N402 also comes equipped with both optical and coaxial digital inputs plus traditional analog inputs for connecting CD players and legacy devices.
