On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, Samsung announced that it’s now offering a new YouTube TV app for Samsung TVs. The new app gives viewers the ability to stream and record live sporting events, news, and TV shows through their Samsung Smart TV.

The YouTube TV app for Samsung Smart TVs is available on Samsung’s 2016 and 2017 smart TV models. Subscribers to YouTube TV get six accounts per household. Each account has its own login and its own cloud DVR library with no storage space limits.

Pricing and Availability

The YouTube TV app for Samsung televisions is free and available now. To add the YouTube TV app to your smart TV, upgrade your television’s firmware and launch YouTube TV from the Recommended Apps section of your Samsung Smart TV.

YouTube TV subscriptions are available in the top 50 metro areas, covering two-thirds of the U.S. Subscriptions to YouTube TV cost $35 per month.
